Dummerston Annual Apple Pie Festival
For nearly forty years crowds have gathered in Dummerston, Vermont to celebrate America's favorite dessert. Over 1500 apple pies are sold whole or by the piece. Vermont cheddar cheese, hot or cold cider, home-made ice cream and donuts are also available as well as used books, international crafts, and vintage treasures.
Keene Pumpkin Festival
If you join us at the end of our season in late October, you'll be able to catch the world-famous annual Keene Pumpkin Festival. The community of Keene New Hampshire holds the Guinness World Record for the "Most Jack-O'-Lanterns in One Place At One Time” — 28,952 lighted jack-o'-Lanterns! This celebration is great fun for everyone.
New Hampshire B.A.S.S. Federation Mid-Summer Open Tournament
The New Hampshire B.A.S.S. Federation holds it's annual Mid-summer Open on the Connecticut River in Hinsdale New Hampshire in July. In 2003, a record crowd of 59 boats gathered at Norm's Marina with hopes of taking home the top prize of $1540 as well as two paid spots for the State Championships which are held on Lake Winnipesaukee in September.
Newfane Vermont Heritage Festival
The annual Heritage Festival on the Newfane Common is sponsored by the Newfane Congregational Church. Featuring a juried craft show with over 80 vendors, the festival also offers food and raffles, against a backdrop of beautiful Vermont fall foliage.
Strolling of the Heifers® Parade and Festival
Strolling of the Heifers is a celebration of cows, farmers, artists, and the sustainable practices that preserve families, communities and the rural way of life. The 4 day festival featuring the world famous Annual Strolling of the Heifers Parade celebrates Vermont farmers and the contributions they make to the global economy. Other highlights include the Farm Summit, The Dairy FEST & Marketplace, Best Chefs of Vermont, the Black & White Heifer Ball, a Golf Tournament and Farm Tours. In 2004 the event will take place from Thursday, June 3 - Sunday, June 6.
Vermont Renaissance Festival
The Vermont Renaissance Festival in beautiful Vernon, Vermont is just a stone's throw away from Hinsdale and Brattleboro. Featuring merchants and entertainers in Renaissance costume, the festival celebrates the rich traditions of Renaissance song, dance, and performance. Dates for the 2009
season are: June 25-26, July 2-3, July 9-10 and July 16-17.
